Hey, I’m Alexander Pamplona-Foronda, a second-year graphic design student in Montreal. I’m passionate about design, and I’m always trying to get better at it.
Why I push myself
Honestly, a big part of what pushes me is my older brother. He’s a graphic designer too, and for a long time I felt like I was in his shadow. Now I use that as motivation. My goal is to get as good as him, or even better.
What I like to design
I’m most interested in branding, logos, clothing and photography. I like seeing how a brand builds its identity, from the logo to the colours to the way it looks on a T-shirt. Living in Montreal helps a lot too. There are murals, posters and local brands everywhere, so I’m always finding new ideas just walking around the city.
Life outside of being a graphic design student
Outside of school, I played basketball for John Abbott College for a year. I also love fashion, and you’ll probably see that in my work. For me, fashion and design go hand in hand, since both are about style, details and how something makes you feel.
What you’ll find here
On this site you’ll find my print projects and web projects, plus a few blog posts about design. Some are school projects and some are personal ones, like a birthday poster I made for my best friend. I’m still learning, but every project teaches me something new.
